We’re near Buffalo, NY this week,\u00a0and saw Niagara Falls a couple of days ago.\u00a0 WOW!\u00a0 I was not expecting it to be as fabulous as it really is!\u00a0 Looking at it from the top of the falls was impressive, with the sound of the river, and the view over the falls (great rainbows!) but when we went DOWN to the bottom of the falls to take the “Maid of the Mist” boat ride and looked UP at the falls, I was REALLY impressed.\u00a0 It’s like 10 stories high!!<\/p>\n
The boat ride was fun – everybody was given a plastic slicker and boy did we need them!!\u00a0 We got close enough to the horseshoe falls (on the Canadian side of the river) that we might as well have all been in the shower together.\u00a0 Everyone got DRENCHED!\u00a0 A few people didn’t want to put their slickers on and they were frantically pulling them on – HA too late!!<\/p>\n
We opted to not walk UNDER the falls or go across the bridge to the Canadian side (need a passport to do that!) so we didn’t get the full experience, but we got enough!<\/p>\n
